Old Down Manor is an exclusive wedding venue on the outskirts of Bristol, resting in a truly idyllic location with views across the river Severn. The house is a Victorian Gothic Mansion that has undergone extensive refurbishment and sits admist 60 acres of beautiful formal gardens, grazing land, and age old woodland. There is a vast history to Old Down Manor but most recently it was owned by Tubular Bells' musician Mike Oldfield. It's new owners have lovingly restored the gracious Victorian Manor House back to its former splendor, and in so doing are leaving a legacy to be enjoyed by many more generation to come.Weddings are hosted in the beautiful Orangery, which overlooks the charming Victorian rose garden and the breathtaking panorama beyond. In the words of it's owners Old Down Manor is luxurious and yet casually elegant and has all the ingredients needed to provide the bride and groom, friends and loved ones, with a beautiful wedding in an amazing setting and most importantly of all, memories to be treasured forever. Old Down Manor is licensed to provide Civil Ceremonies in the Orangery, Drawing Room and Magnificent Hall with its truly romantic ‘Gone With the Wind’ sweeping staircase and vaulted glass ceiling and for that special evening the bridal suite is a true room for romance.
